Day One:
Our first day in Brazil was spent at the famous Ipanema beach. We also were allowed to adventure around the neighborhood.
Day Two:
On the second day of the trip we visited the Natural History Museum. We also visited Municipal Theater, located in Rio's city center.
Day Three:
Day three was filled with adventure as we spent the whole day in Petropolis. This city is located north of Rio de Janeiro and with its forested peaks and waterfalls its know as a mountain retreat for Rio residents. While in Petropolis we visited the Imperial Museum of Don Pedro the Second. We ended the day at a Brazilian barbecue near a lake.
Day Four:
On day four we started with a stroll through a local farmers market with Chef Simone. Afterwards, we had a hands on cooking class with Chef Simone. We then enjoyed lunch.
Day Five:
On the fifth day we were able to see two local soccer teams compete in the Olympic soccer stadium. This was an eye-opening experience as I have never been to a large sporting event.
